Maravillamania in Argentina

There is much to like about Martinez
For one he is not a fabricated champion, the boxing machine diddent want him to win because of his age and because he was not a american.
After he knocked out the punisher, he was put in there with solid and proven unbeaten fighters, and what did he do, he knocks them all out.
And then there is his style, he is a very advanced fight with superb reflexes, he dances around the ring like a young Ali, faints, punches with damaging power and precision, from odd angels.
And he has a ton of hart, getting up from that knockdown in the 12 round and then stand toe to toe and landing was pure magic.
he is also handsome, well spoken and a good person.

This is too much. Martinez is on the covers of all magazines of celebrities this week. Right now he is really really popular, a fight in Argentina could be huge, i mean 60.000 people, easy. This never happened since Monzón, people are starting to care again of boxing. Have a look at the last one...

Man my wife, my sisters, and my mom kept asking me about him. I never saw anything about him being married or having kids or a trail of broken hearts. He dresses well, wears pink and purple alot which, isnt necessarily gay but done by gay guys alot or pimps. I just assumed a guy that good looking 37 years old and rich and successful was gay. I was wrong.Comment

never cared though, he's a great fighter with an exciting style and a generous heart, his personal life is his businessComment

Very pleased to see the guy getting the attention and credit he deserves.
It's guy's like Sergio that deserve to be in the spotlight; he'll fight anybody, he always entertains, he always goes for the knockout, he doesn't run, he has a ton of heart...
Cong**** Sergio, enjoy the spotlight.Comment

Oh, and another thing, I think Sergio has that appeal to be a huge draw.
I'm not just talking about a fan favourite in Argentina, but internationally. The way Pacquiao and Cotto have come from foreign countries to become stars world-wide. Sergio has the style, the achievements, the look and the personality to be a draw everywhere if Lou DiBella can make the most of it.
Outside of trolls or fanboy's of fighters he's beat, I don't know of anyone who doesn't like Sergio.Comment
