On Monday, Manny Pacquiao was quite adamant in his decision to fight Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time rather than taking a rematch with Tim Bradley.

“I have nothing to prove against Bradley,” Pacquiao told BoxingScene.com’s Luis Sandoval. “Everyone saw who won the fight. If we fought again, it would be one-sided.”

Bradley’s trainer, Joel Diaz, took exception to those words in an interview with this writer a little over 24 hours later.

“If there was a rematch, Tim would make it more decisive,” said Diaz, who is currently training his brother, former titleholder Julio Diaz, for a bout on Sept. 29. “Manny Pacquiao, he’s already on his way out. FWow! I can't believe Diaz allowed this filth to spew from his mouth. Ghost? Bradley? Bradley did nothing in this fight to warrant a rematch. I'm no Pacquiao fan, but come on guy he clearly won the fight. I guess people have to do and say certain things to make themselves feel comfortable about a bad situation or outcome. They know they got away with one on here. He said the easy way out in JMM????? JMM didn't look good in his last fight? WTF? Really? I'd even take Marquez to beat Bradley at 140 or 147. Diaz has really surprised me with those words, that's just awful.
