No. But he's at 160 right now, a major problem for him being able to get any big fights other than a Chavez fight.

Why can't Sergio clean out MW for his legacy or go up to 168 and beat a top fighter like Froch or Ward???

He certainly doesn't seem to want anything to do with moving up to 168.

Remember he already offered Angulo the chance to fight for the Middleweight title at 155! Angulo didn't wanna fight him and neither does Kirkland.

I dunno if Lara would but honestly, why move down for Lara? Stop it.
Why move down for Lara? So sergio doesn't have to fight the other slick southpaw and gets a free pass? you fans are pathetic. In that case why the **** would Floyd fight Martinez if he make the same money with a bum?

Thank you. I agree. He's the MW champ who hasn't been to 154 in 4 years.

Yeah its not hard to comprehend that it'd be ****** to lose his middleweight championship and move down to 154 where Floyd STILL wouldn't fight him anyway...LOL

Probably already been said, but looking at their fight night weights would be a more accurate representation/comparison. Martinez is only 167 or so fight night. Hell, some welterweights balloon up that much. Canelo is right there aswell.

Or he could just fight Mayweather or Cotto at 154.

I wouldn't mind seeing him go to 168 but he's not mandated to. Just like I wouldn't expect Cotto or Mayweather to go to 160.

But three fighters who have all fought at 154lbs NOT fighting? Why?

What lines? Only reason people are saying he wants a catchweight is because the article's authors suggested it.

And exactly, you "guessed" what it mean. There isnt even any context to suggest that he wants a CW, but you think sergio cant make 154 so automatically it means he wants a CW. Maybe you should stop assuming and read the quote for what it is.
