Serious question. How is Martinez/Floyd the same as Martinez/Ward?

Or do you honestly believe Pacman/Floyd will be more competitive, or Floyd/ginger??
I agree that it is a compelling fight. If you are a boxing fan then this is the fight you want to see. But Bush Those that invest in a fight want a return on their investment.

So diehards like you and me would drool over floyd/sergio for what it means historically and currently. But if our wives and aunts and non boxing fans don't salivate then it likely will not happen unless a huge entity (HBO with ward/dawson) invests in it knowing they can wait for long term profit. Floyd/Canelo makes EVERYONE money.

You are right that floyd/sergio is the best fight out there from a competititve standpoint. But if you had $5 mil to make a fight you gonna do floyd/canelo or floyd/martinez?

SO for all of your posts you will NEVER change the fact that professional boxing is profit driven. If floyd sees he can make more from Canelo than sergio, thats the fight he will invest his money in.

For you to ask him or any man to lose money for your entertainment value is straight up BS IMO. Know you can just write this off as the opinion of a floyd fan or you can think about it.

I hope you choose the latter.

Mayweather-Pac is competitive at 147 since theyve been campaigning there for years now.

Mayweather-Canelo could be competitive, I see Canelo as a younger version of Cotto, with less boxing ability.

Ward-Martinez is not competitive since Martinez ALREADY stated he CAN NOT MAKE 168 AND WILL NOT.
Mayweather-Martinez is not competitive it would be a suck ass fight ugly between a guy who doesn't belong at the weight class and a guy who killed himself a little to get there. Not the recipe for a grand fight~

Mayweather-Manny I don't think that fight is close at all

Mayweather-Canelo I think that fight is real tough for Floyd considering Canelo's youth, size and skills, Floyd might be able to overcome but at his age I think it would be a very tough fight for him.

Ward_Martinez I think is two very quality boxers, I would favor Ward but I do think Sergio is good enough to be competitive, he doesn't have to challenge himself if he doesn't want though but Mayweather doesn't have to challenge himself either by the same token.

i dont see either being too competitve. i think martinez has a very high chance of beating floyd. too fast, too big too strong. if floyd were to win, it would tell me hes by far the best fighter in the world.

same thing with martinez vs ward. those are risky fights. worth the risk for legacy tho. sounds to me like ppl want floyd to lose but not martinez.

Martinez was duck and dodged at 154 so he decided to build his body around 160. Yes he is a 154 fighter, may be a little tough to get there but he can make it fine and still retain 90% of himself.

Going to 160 was the risk Sergio already took.

Honestly you did. The minute you said you weren't comparing Martinez & Duran I knew I was talking to a ****** who calls names when he gets upset. Therefore since you can't get your point across without resorting to name calling, I won't be debating with you anymore.

Floyd is out of his depth at 154~ just because he won some fights there doesn't make him that class so using that against him and as a shield for Martinez is two sides of the same coin.

It would be fun to see Martinez try and fight Ward that is two highly skilled guys, you as a fan should want to see it~

Or you are just a hypocrite~

martinez grew into at 160lb frame. he looks very good at the weight. hes not a 154lb fighter. thats why hes not down there. his team can say whatever they want but u spend over 4 years in a weight class, that typically means u belong there. and floyd is clearly not a 154 lb fighter, so yea, continue to ignore that.

Martinez may have an advantage over Floyd but it is in no way clear.

Ward would beat the snot out of Martinez no questions asked. And Martinez is my current favorite fighter.

I would want to see the fight if I believed it would be competitive, which I do not. I'm willing to listen to you try & make a case for how Martinez will give Ward trouble though.
