Ratings are determined by people aren't they. I have a cousin who was approached by Nielsen to put a box in his house. He agreed to and now his viewing is counted as being part of the U.S. Nielsen TV Ratings.Comment

I tuned into Showtime. I watched the fight on my television screen. The fights aired in my living room. I count. And I watched the card more for the Maidana undercard than the main event. I am proof that the undercard caused people to tune in, because I tuned in.Comment

where im from no one even knows who canelo is, not a whole lot of boxing fans here but even the ones who watch or have at least seen him on a card once or twice quickly forget who he is even my mexican friends, i always try to remind them of his past fights and they still have a hard time remembering lol he still has a long way to go to be truly KNOWNComment

but how about canelo taking on fighters in his own division or higher, martinez just beat a huge chavez jr with KO power and chavez still FINALLY stepped up and got in the ring with him so thats that. i dont hate canelo like some people on here but it is annoying to see take these other fights, he should of wanted nothing to do with a lopez fight knowing the advantages he had in that fight. floyd, pac, and sergio have all took on challengers there size or bigger that could of beaten them (or have beat them in pac and sergios case) and thats why they are ranked where they are, cotto and floyd are of course a great start who has he beat to earn those shots?? lopez? mosley?? kermit??? when floyd comes back he wont wanna fight him and cotto seems interested so that could be official soon enough but he needs to start trying to prove himself instead of just fighting names with paydays, how about fighting 160er??Comment
