There's a simple game plan. Don't let him take the counter punching role. Paq can simply do what he did in the Bradly fight. Let Marquez press the action and most importantly stop entertaining the crowd. Let them boo all they want when nothing happens.

I don't want to be a downer but Pacquiao lost that fight (on the scorecards).

You can argue bad judging etc but if letting Marquez come to Pacquiao is a recipe for giving the fight away.

Pac needs to walk him down and hold his ground more. He gets caught on his way out every time. Enough of this jumping around the ring like a freaking farry. I love how everyone always claims he's coming forward all the time when he's just as worried about jumping out as landing a punch. He has to trade with Marquez to catch him. Less foot movement, more bobbing and weaving and staying put and body work. Also enough with the jab straight left. Marquez figured that out during the second fight. Pac's right hook sucks btw.

The first two fights between JMM and Paq were see saw battles. They were both aggressive and countered equally. Both simply want to kill each other.

In the third fight, JMM was more cautious and let Paq press the action. Paq panics when nothing happens in a fight. Crowd boos and he has to press the action to entertain them. He loves fighting aggressive opponents. Most of his memorable fights had him being slammed on the ropes. Starting from Clotty, interrupted briefly by Marg, you no longer see that. Opponents are typically on survival mode. Paq hates being the only guy who is left entertaining the crowd. He never stops chasing them even when he knows he's miles ahead on points. He clearly realized that you can't always do that especially in a JMM fight. The mistake was in the Bradly fight. He forgot that Bradly is not JMM.

So there you have it. You know where I'm going here.
