I was about to ask if you're mentally ******ed, but I think your inability to contract words properly kind of answered that for me.

There's actually a couple reasons why Jr. COULDN'T throw:

    1) As I stated before, in the time it takes Junior to plant his fatass down in order to throw his oh-so-famous-inherited-from-his-father (as if that makes a remote amount of scientific sense) body shots, Sergio could literally - and I mean literally - run circles around Junior. How many times did Sergio tag Jr before turning him around? Did you see how hard Junior whiffed on some of the shots he did take?

    2) Jr. probably realized early on that throwing would open himself to an even more severe beating. He had a high guard the majority of the fight, sans the few times he dropped his hands as if emulating his opponent's elusive style was part of his game plan (or perhaps a last ditch effort). Even with that high guard, Sergio landed more or less at will.

Martinez won the last fight and their contract has no rematch clause. So yeah, maybe they should have a rematch but maybe Martinez should make the weigh in on fight night mandatory and make chavez atleast come in on fight night where most middleweight fighters come fight at, not 185lbs. You gotta remember Martinez was in the ring with a huge fighter.

            Lol

Movement and speed and accurate punching destroyed JR. This was the first time I saw JR get someone on the ropes and lose the inside exchange so bad that he backed up and let him off the ropes almost everytime. And when he didn't Martinez buriedhis right shoulder into Jr chest and wrapped the left arm up just like Calzaghe did to jeff left hook Lacey. A rematch is not neccasary. That's like saying.... well they were losing the baseball game 11 to nothing but in the last inning they hit a solo home run.... they could win now

Chavez Jr knocked down a very tired Martinez in the 12th. If he was to open up on a fresh Sergio with no broken left hand, he would get KO'd. He felt Sergio's power and the speed was too much for him and that's why he didn't get aggressive in the first place. The only chance for Julio to win would be to develope a jab and make Sergio come to him. He then would have to open up when Sergio started firing. His only chance would be to catch him with something big. If not, the same exact thing happens in a rematch. But this time, Sergio will play it safe in the later rounds.

Well the loss should humble him, and teach him to be more serious about his craft.

One thing I haven't seen anyone say thus far was about the first round...Although he lost it, I thought Junior was doing good by continuing to circle to Martinez's right, customary stuff against a southpaw, but I thought their game plan would be to walk Martinez into right hands, and then Freddie mentioned something to Julio about it in the corner thereafter (which btw, smh at that duo and their lack of communication). But as soon as the 2nd round began it looked like Julio just abandoned that very rudimentary tactic and opted to chase a guy that not only moves beautifully but punches hard and fast from many angles. I don't know what happened so soon to discourage him from doing it, I think he should've stuck to that for a little longer, walking in straight lines against a guy of Martinez's caliber will set you up to get picked apart. Now I understand that's not really Julio's style, and I agree, I just found it odd that he came out in the first round with what looked like a dedicated approach (he never let up from doing it so it didn't look like he was just feeling out, on top of that...) and then when Freddie told him he's doing the right thing, he comes out and just starts walking straight. ??? Don't get me wrong though, lol, Martinez would've still figured it out, whatever it would be and have beaten Chavez. I'm just speculating.

Aside from a hectic 12th round, an immediate rematch doesn't look very warranted right now (not that I would really mind it, lol). Julio never adapted. And I find it funny how in their face-off (I think it was the face-off) Julio says, 'you only have a straight left to the body,' yet he continues to eat that shot throughout the night. I thought that punch was the key factor in slowing Junior and really setting up the win. Terrific performance from Martinez, did everything he needed to do.

Lately when certain fighters loose(especially those trained by Roach)they put the blame on training camp & don't give the winning fighter any credit!!They keep on trying to compare that fight with Chavez Sr's win over Taylor, but there's NO comparison cause in the Chavez/Taylor fight, even thou Chavez was being out landed in every round, he was still landing hard shots on Taylor in every round, something that didn't happen on his son's fight against Martinez..I saw the fight last Saturday & I've seen both fighters fight plenty of times before that & Saturday night I DIDN'T see any difference in the way Chavez Jr fought or the way Martinez fought..The ONLY difference was that for the 1st time in Chavez Jr's ENTIRE CAREER he fought a REAL TOP OF THE LINE FIGHTER & got Schooled & pounded for the 1st 11 rounds & the reason he wasn't really throwing was because no other fighter has hit him the way Martinez was & in the last round C Jr caught the way smaller(in height & more or less by 20lbs) Martinez with a good shot & rocked him & note that Martinez also had a BROKEN left hand(since the 4th) & had TORN LIGAMENTS on his right knee(from the knock down) & Martinez got up & still traded with C Jr & he still couldn't stop Martinez!! They don't want to admit that C Jr got blown out & are looking for an unworthy rematch..In a rematch Martinez will give him a worst beating & will probably KO C jr!!

Chavez Jr. should fire Freddie Roach and hire Emanuel Stewart. He needs to learn better footwork and use a jab to set up those body shots. His arrogance and inexperience cost him this fight.

Jr is an arrogant little Prick. He needs to mature and grow the hell up. I mean come on man, who the hell trains in the living room? This kid doesn't know how to take criticism and has no discipline
