that's only true for boxers with legacy; floyd, shane, bernard, manny get the benefit of the doubt but i dont have a problem with that. they earned it.

Ironic that the people who call Chavez a bum are also the same giving Sergio credit for this fight,if Chavezīs so bad he shouldnīt get too much credit for this,should he? This was a fight to get his belt back and a nice paycheck,but doesnīt do much to improve his status as a P4P fighter.

IMO, Chavez is a top 5 MW. However, I also said it was a mismatch on paper. It turned out that way, but Martinez put on a performance that exceeded my expectations. The performance itself was P4P worthy to me.

I think Martinez is overrated but there are only a few fighters I'd definitively place ahead of him ( Ward, Mayweather and Wlad), others are debatable ( Marquez and Donaire). Pacquiao is not someone I'd rate ahead of him, now way no how.
