Supposedly, the Diamond belt does not have a sanctioning fee attached to it, it's just a "prize". It doesn't have a lineage that one would follow, it's only for that specific fight.

Now, there's been a bunch of shady shit done by the ABC organizations in recent memory. You've had the WBO strip Pirog because he wanted to unify with Golovkin, you've had WBC say they would strip Canelo if he fought Trout. WBC also unfairly stripped Sergio of his MW title. I know people had problems when the IBF decided not to strip Peterson although he tested positive.
