If Mayweather ages overnight then Canelo could win. The Floyd that beat Cotto would dismantle Canelo, the guy is simply not in his league.

The guys resume is crap. If the fight gets made with Cotto, I expect Cotto to do what Froch and Martinez did.

Canelo doesn't possess the type of hand speed Pacquiao did. Granted he has extremely heavy hands, but if Cotto fights him in the same style he fought Floyd, Canelo patience will bite him in the ass. Cotto will be able to think of his next move at his own pace and he has proven his boxing ability against far more legitimate opposition. Walking through Josesito Lopez is what Cotto would have done at 154 too, just as easy as Canelo. That doesn't prove **** to me. I like Canelo, but he's not ready for what Cotto brings to the ring.

Cotto. God bless him but he would lose a hard fought battle to Alvarez.

That fight would be a war.

What do you guys think? I'd be surprised if Mayweather took the Canelo fight. I don't think he wants it.
here's a lil' advice bro....buy a gas mask!!!...that GBP gas has gotten to you...matching Nelo the way they do has a REASON attached to it....if Tyson Gay ALWAYS ran agianst dudes who couldn't run the 100 under 10 sec.....I bet there would be a gang of track and field fans who would say he could beat Usain Bolt....talk this when the dude in question has done something amazing against somebody currently amazing

dude hasn't done anything worth honoring but yet and still we're supposed to believe he can beat the sport's BEST?!?...why?...because of the skill difference?!?...what makes dudes think that a NOBODY can just beat Floyd?!?....get a gas mask!!!...smh

Would be nice to see Canelo against a top light middleweight first, It's about time he steps it up and if he can do great against someone like Kirkland or Cotto then he should do well against an ageing and inactive Mayweather.

I know I'll be in the minority on this one, but Floyd had a very tough fight with a frankly... and I hate to say this because I love the guy, but an over the hill Miguel Cotto.

Canelo is a younger, bigger, stronger Miguel Cotto.

Canelo still takes more punches than I would like, and thats what makes this fight interesting, because Canelo puts his punches together very well, but he has vulnerabilities and he takes his punches very well.

What impresses me most is his composure. Nothing seems to bother him or throw him off his game plan ever. I'm very impressed with the clinical precision which he goes about doing what he does.

I think the combination of Size, strength, youth, and craft might be too much for Floyd at this point in his career.

I don't want to see that fight. I like Cotto to much to see him in a fight where he would take that kind of punishment.
