Call them what you want, those guys are still trying to win and do ask certain questions. They obviously aren't the question you want answered, which is a fine opinion to have.

I think it is a tough fight for Floyd all things considered, of course it would not be easy for Canelo either and Floyd would deserve to be the favorite.

I don't need to see more to understand that, I could be wrong but understand I have been behind Floyd since Atlanta, so maybe you should think about what I am saying for a second before dismissing it~

I'm not saying that Canelo can't or won't beat Floyd. I'm aware of his style, his strengths/weaknesses and the skill-set he possesses. I'm saying I'd rather see him with the guys at the contender level before he fights guys at the top of the mountain. I want some natural progression.

Sink or swim time, sometimes guys progress slow and steady sometime they take baby steps before taking a huge leap.

I don't see the need to hung up on one path of progression, different guys do it differently.

This may surprise you but, I got Cotto over Canelo. "True story"

                Yeah.
Yep, it's a lot easier to look good against fighters who are not at the top level.

Jr looked great against Andy Lee, and yesterday he was dominated by a top level fighter like Martínez.

The thing is that I had enough of seeing Floyd fight these type of fighters ..... those who have "potential" ....

                  - Ortiz needed more time but he sank and is now 1-2 at WW.

                  - Hatton went back down to 140 after an average performance at 147 then took the payday/Floyd but he sank and is now 1-1 at WW (recent).

                  - Marquez moved up 2 (nearly 3) divisions to fight Floyd but sank as he never swam in those deep waters of 147 before!

                  - They were ready to do the same with Khan but he got KOed .... so no fight with Floyd.

Canelo has potential but that means he needs more time and a step up in opponents .... do we know how Canelo would do against top opponents? How about opponents similar to Floyd in style defense/offense?

                    Um, no.

Floyd would bring Canelo back down to Earth. Canelo has been fed bums, overweight, and shot over the hill fighters the last two years. You guys talk about Floyd's "power" being weak but it isn't about power, it's about timing. I'd love for Floyd to take this fight but his mental state isn't into fighting right now.

                      This...

Let me see Canelo vs Cotto, Lara, Kirkland, Angulo, ..at least 2 of those before talking Mayweather..

at 154lbs Canelo can very well overwhelm Mayweather with size and power..but Mayweather is crafty..and still has his ring IQ above anyone in the game right now..definitely an interesting match up..

but I'd like to see Canelo with proper opposition first before calling the Mayweathers and Martinez' out..
