His best round was the 7th as far as bodywork is concerned? Could've sworn it was the 5th. Where he would get inside Marroquin's guard and throw his combos and at the end of the round they looked like they took their toll. I could be wrong tho. I was being pretty annoyed by the way he was fighting and just not doing any bodywork. Like I said, I had to walk out... I just went and got some food. Ill be the first Rigo fan to say it right now, if he fights the same vs Donaire he loses. Donaire is 5'7" and obviously bigger. He needs to get inside and work his body. Go back to what made him Rigo-fkin-deaux.
Guillermo Rigondeaux been exposed!

Donaire has not shown any power at the higher weights. He probably he enough to hurt Rigo, but Rigo has enough to hurt him too.Comment

You also have to keep in mind that its much easier to get caught with shots in boring fights like he was in.but he throws it much faster than marroquin and with much much more force...marroquin barely landed those left hooks and it had rigo all wobbly. you can't tell me that if donaire landed just one clean left hook that rigo isn't going to go down or get seriously hurt...

^^^^rigo's possible future if he fights donaire...Comment

We started a discussion about this fight last night. I've made several posts about it on another thread. I won't repeat everything I've already said. Suffice it to say that I've expressed concern about Rigo's chin and his lack of activity. However, I don't think Guillermo's been "exposed." Marroquin staggered him twice. That might bring Rigo's chin into question, but it doesn't mean any more than that...at least not yet.I dont see much talking about this fight, but if you watched him yesterday against Robert Marroquin (link to the fight click here) he was rocked badly by not really solid shots.
Every time Marroquin landed a decent shot he hurt Rigo, Rigo defense is great but the first one with some pop to land on rigo will KO him easily.
What yall think?Comment

The 4th round was when he threw a 2 long combinations to the body, and in the 7th, he threw about 16 body shots (his most in one round). So the 4th round is arguably the best round. His best round was the 7th as far as bodywork is concerned? Could've sworn it was the 5th. Donaire is easier to hit, and he doesn't like to lead the action. He has an explosive left hook, but he doesn't have Marroquin's reach. Donaire's chin is still questionable imho, so Donaire/Rigo is still a fight that can go either way.Last edited by kiaba360; 09-16-2012, 02:15 PM.Comment
