I don't understand this fascination of having the MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMP come down to 154, he's been at 160 for a few years now and is on the wrong side of 30, and a knee surgery too
Anything below 160 is a ***** fight and not credit worthy. Its like Dawson coming down to get an ass whupping. ShamefulComment

Its should happen. I didn't say it will happen.
Cotto submitted to Pacquiao's weight games the first time. I think its only right for the 8 division title holder to do the same as he did hold a belt at 154.
I'm asking Ward to do the same against Dawson. It would be hypocritical not to ask Pacquiao to do the same.
What's good for the goose .. yada yada yada.Comment

Sergio is a small middleweight. He can make 154 easy, and many would regard 154 as his best fighting weight.I don't understand this fascination of having the MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMP come down to 154, he's been at 160 for a few years now and is on the wrong side of 30, and a knee surgery too

That's not the point. He's old, hasn't fought or had to cut weight to make 154 in several years. I don't care how "small" of a middleweight he is, the point is, that he's still a middle weight, and coming down in weight after so many years is not going to be good. I mean recent history is proof enough, whether Dawson, or De La Hoya.
He's going to go to 154 and get an ass whupping. You don't know if he can make 154 easy, that is an assumption on your part, because its not like he flip flops between weights every other fight. Hell at 160, he looks like he doesn't have an ounce to spare and ripped to the core.
And what's the significance either? He holds no historical or belt value at 154. The glory is at 160. It proves NOTHING to beat a 38 year old middleweight champ down at Jr. Middleweight. Fight him at 160 or stay the eff out of his lane.Comment
