What Chavez did in the 12th left a rematch an open possibility, but I would like to see Chavez fight a top contender in the interim before it happens. If he looks good and impresses, a rematch could be huge. Otherwise it's just kind of eh.
Justified? lmfaooo Early effects of punch drunk syndrome.
Seriously if Chavez actually thinks he performed well tonight he is a complete ******, and he looks like one too. In the post fight he looked like sloth from the goonies.
A rematch would just see another lopsided beat down only Martinez won't be so careless in the end.
If it wasn't for that show of heart, to take a beating for 11 rounds, to watch your own father and trainer give up on you, and then dig deep for that effort, we would not be talking about Chavez Jr. right now.
He would be considered a total failure. That KD made every Mexican fan in that stadium believe that if the fight could go one more round he would have KO'd the p4p#3.
That is why we will still be talking about Chavez in the days and months to come.

The only guys he should be targeting in that division are N'Jikam and Quillin.
GGG would turn Chavez into a vegetable. Pirog would turn him into Daniel Jacobs. Geale probably beats him too.
