Jr. redeemed himself somewhat with that 12th round, but he was getting a lesson out there the whole night.

It was a heavy handed sparring session for Martinez until the last round. He wasn't getting touch that much by Jr the whole night.

Looks like all the talk at the post-presser is a rematch, potentially at Cowboys Stadium. Too much money got generated in that last couple minutes not to do it again.

This kind of talk is redicilous due to the fact that Martinez never hurt Chavez, was suffering from several bad cuts, and was hurt more than he has ever been in the final round while getting knocked down.

what? dude backed chavez down a bunch of times. even when chavez pinned him in the corner or ropes he punched his way out of it...you can't punch your way out if you're not hurting the other guy.

margarito hurt him more than chavez did. chavez had him in trouble for 35 seconds. after that sergio took over again. sergio won the last 30 seconds of that round. i doubt chavez would have done much if it went longer. if anything he'd probably get knocked out considering how tired he looked. even on wobbly legs, sergio was dodging a bunch of jr's punches in the last 40 seconds.

also, he had 1 cut on his left eye. chavez had both eyes swollen, nose bleeding, mouth bleeding. only other cut martinez had was on the left side of his head (partially hidden by his hair) from the accidental headbutt.

Dont be an idiot. JCC can learn from the fight and Martinez is 37. If you don't think JCC can start earlier instead of late then you are dumber than a box of rocks. History is littered with fighters who were outboxed entirely and came back to win. Martinez is damn lucky this isn't the 15 rounds days. He gets stopped in the rematch. I had Sergio by a late KO but wow at how badly he schooled him. I thought the fight would be semi-competitive for the first 5 or 6 rounds but it was a white wash. Even up 11-0 Martinez was still going for ko in the 12th and when dropped was standing in the pocket trying to throw bombs, didnt run or clinch. True warrior.

mad respect to Martinez, Chavez less skilled than I thought, wasnt that impressed.

I didn't get to watch the fight because my stream went out on me. But thanks to you guys I got the RBR and I'm glad Martinez won. Seemed like a scary 12th round though but I'm glad Sergio pulled though and wasn't robbed. All you Chavez loving Sergio haters can eat crow now. Of course I'm sure you guys have a bunch of excuses though don't you?
