Exactly what happened. Without the point deduction, the two judges most likeky would have scored it even giving a majority draw (and that's without even considering that they could have swing round 11 from a 10-9 in favor of Beltran to a 8-10 for Roman but assuming they scored it 9-9 ).

Yes, the referee warned him but I guess some boxers have bad habits and with the heat of the fight tend to forget and I think that is what occurred to Beltran. If they only could keep cool and thinking that in a close fight a point deduction could be so critical then there wouldn't be these kind of controversial situations.

Rocky almost got robbed with that first scorecard with we're they watching glad rocky won he earned it he was the better fighter even with a long layoff he still has that granite chin

This was no "robbery", it was a very close fight that could have gone either way, but in the end, Rocky got the nod.

Anyways, great fight.

Hopefully they have a rematch soon.

And who knows, maybe a trilogy too.

I agree, it was a hard fought fight between Mexico vs Puerto Rico, and it could have gone to either. Great fight from both, they gave it there all in the ring.
