frochs resume has alot of big names but its far from great. taylor was shot, johnson is a gatekeeper, bute was overrated (just like lacy) and AA is very limited. his best wins are direll and pascal.

froch is not an elite fighter and it shows because whenever he comes up against an elite fighter (ward and kessler) he loses. froch is a fighter who is the best of the rest.

calzaghe would have boxed his ears off. joe did face fighters who had no right to be in the ring with him (manfredo?!). however he cleared out the top 10 in his era and in 2003 he should have unified the WBA and IBF titles when he beat mitchell (mitchell had just been robbed in germany thanks to sven ottke).

warren however probably didn't offer the fight to froch. froch was still beating domestic competition by the time joe had moved up to LHW.

Warren is probably referring to the time when he offered to make Calzaghe-Froch on the condition that he got options on Froch's next 3 fights. As Hennessey (Froch's promoter at the time) said, no promoter in the world is going to agree to a deal like that.

People may recall that Brook vs Matthew Hatton was set to go ahead a few years back and got called off for the same reason. Warren wouldn't do the fight unless he got future control of Hatton's career, and of course no promoter or fighter would agree to a deal like that.

Froch called Calzaghe out at the end of Joe's career, apart from that truth is he wouldn't have wanted Joe, he wasn't even a top 3 contender when he called Joe out and Joe would have put him in the blender and made a smoothie. Yes Warren's a hater but a rich and funny one too.

                      Fuck Off.

Bute was a world champion, having defended the IBF title 9 times and with a record of 30-0. There was a bit of controversy regarding the Andrade fight but Bute has a good resume and prior to the Froch fight, handled Johnson much easier than what Froch did.

Bute was a favourite amongst many boxing experts, journalists and fans. I for one believed Bute was going to spark Froch. I mean, Froch is this slow punching, slow moving plodder with no defence - he's just perfect for the big punching Bute.

                      How wrong was I.

He decimated Bute and once again, proved everyone wrong. But in hindsight everyone knew how it was going to play out and it was no surprise how it happened.

                      Ha...Ha...
