That's the same tired excuse I keep hearing from these clowns that Vote Tyson in all of these threads.

This isn't asking who was the most popular, who was your favorite, who brought more interest...

By that definition, Ray Robinson isn't the greatest of all times.

Ray Leonard won titls at 147, 154, 160, 168, and 175 in the 80's, and beat ROBERTO DURAN, TOMMY HEARNS, AND MARVIN HAGLER.

Once again, anyone who's voting Tyson is grossly uninformed and or cheerleading.

Yeah. Plus Leonard was defeated in 1980 and did not have as many fights in the 80's as Tyson did. Tyson is the king of 80's boxing.

Leonard's loss was a close decision dropped to Duran that was avenged.

He CLEARLY fought the better competition and won titles from Welter to Light Heavy.

Leonard was named Fighter of the 80's by Ring Magazine, HBO, and several other boxing en******.

Again, all you're doing is cheerleading.

You can only vote for Tyson if ur a blinded fan boy... You can't compare what Leonard did with what Tyson did it's just ridiculus. Leonard is clearly the best fighter of the 80s.

Ask someone if they can name a boxer from the 1980's, and they'll say Tyson. If you don't like to hear that it's a popularity contest and Tyson isn't **** compared to Leonard, well too bad because it largely is based on popularity. And for accomplishments; Tyson was the youngest heavyweight and took the boxing world by storm with his first round knockouts. The fighter of the 80's goes to Tyson followed closely by Leonard.

Thank you. Tyson gets it and easily.

You guys are ignorant and uninformed.

You don't understand the difference in the signifigance of the accomplishments between the two, and it's blatently obvious to anyone who knows anything about boxing.

It's not a popularity contest, Tyson feasted on a list of weak competition, and Leonard won titles in 5 weight classes beating 3 all time greats.

                  There's no compairison.

There's a reason Leonard was named Fighter of the 80's by almost every important boxing organization.

                  You're WWE class boxing fans.

Hagler's another guy who'd rank above Tyson in the 80's, and he didn't even make the list.
