Chavez fought with the heart of a lion against possibly the best fighter of his era in Floyd.

Who else fought Floyd with pure fury against an uh, as you say...Titan against a fighter 'as it turns out' against the caliber of a fighter like Floyd? Chavez Taylor? Nope, Chavez turned out to be greater. Duran? Yep. Who else? Tarver Roy? No. Jones was not prime.

I'm not discrediting any of those fighters performances, just stating an opinion. Don't know what happened to Chavez in the end. Chavez taught Floyd something in their fight, but Floyd had already become a Monk in the ring.

Chavez definitely came with it, his conditioning was insane for that one. Sosa is another fighter who also came with it against Floyd, this is why Floyd doesn't overlook any fighter, instances like this can happen.

this fight helped me to make a tidy sum of money when Floyd fought Ricky.... I watched this fight beforehand realised that Ricky had no chance... and that by mid to late in the fight Ricky's furious inside style would be done.
