So one of Koncz's ideas is to maybe have a PPV with 2 fights and a concert? That will never work. What the hell kind of boxing fan buys a PPV to see a concert in between the boxing matches.
I seem to remember in the pro wrestling business Eric Bischoff tried that same idea on Monday Night Nitro over a decade ago. The ratings went down the toilet. Actually, their rating were already down the toilet but whatever this made it worse. Why? Fans wanted to see wrestling not music.
Same thing here. Fans pay to see BOXING not concerts. Oh well, it will be fun watching all this fail no matter what they try to come up with.
They've been getting their wishes granted in the past year.Comment

but there may be a misquote - maybe it's not a joint venture as it is a co-promotion...which is no big deal.Comment

BoxingScene.com has confirmed that eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao, and rapper 50 Cent, are going to move forward with a joint promotional venture - according to Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz.
In an earlier story, multiple sources advised BoxingScene that TMT Promotions, the promotional company recently started by 50 Cent, was already closing shop.

so it was initially going to be floyd 50 and manny, but floyd didnt to be part of it?
Sounds like he really doesny want to fight pacquiao.
First blood testing, then he asks for 100m, then he offers pac a deal with no ppv cut, and now that the fight was so close to be made, he splits?
I think theres no longer any doubt about whos ducking who.
Floyd suggests friend Fifty starts TMT. Fifty says yes, thinking he will be part of the Paq megafight. Fifty starts talking to Paq's people and assumes to have Floyd's go signal. Wheels move. Floyd changes his mind, all of a sudden.
Fifty is pissed and throws in the towel. Joining forces with Koncz is probably an afterthought.Comment
