Dont think Martinez is talking smack because he's scared or not confident. With the name Jr. carries it brings alot of attention to the fight. He needs to talk to make the fight a success$$$ and if he wins big he will get more attention$$. Its his time to shine and if he does big money fights should come his way. Even Jr. said that Martinez is a forgotten fighter even if he wins noone remembers him. The Chavez name has taken Jr. a long way so far and Martinez wants that recognition.

Junior's punching power is just as overrated as he happens to be.

why is this assclown even talking?! no one who knows anything about boxing thinks chavez has any type of chance against martinez. chavez is nothing but a "name" living under his daddys shadow. his work ethic and dedication is laughable at best, and his "skills" only shine when he is fighting tomato cans.

this weekend, we are going to see a very confused, shook, discombobulated chavez when he finally steps in there with a man

only cheerleaders like mushahadeen thinks chavez will do any type of damage to sergio. best damn middleweight god ever made he said. LMAO!!! laughable at best. chavez isnt in the top 50 middleweights

If Chavez is such a paper champ or a ****ty fighter like a lot of people say, than why is Martinez training like a total beast for Chavez?

Unfortunately I think he's lost a step since then and there is something about Jr's style that makes me think it's going to be taken full advantage of.

It might just be age, but I think Sergio is on the decline athletically and his style heavily revolves around his athleticism. I don't think he moves his body as fast as he wills or wants it to anymore.

I've maintained the same position since the fight was announced. If Jr. can take Martinez's shots without backing up, it's game over for Sergio. If Sergio can establish his power though, then Chavez's face is getting rearranged.
This is exactly where i stand, is anyone taking into consideration of "What if sergio's power isn't enough and Chavez can take whatever sergio throws?" its gonna get ugly for sergio and that's how i see it but i also feel the same way u feel about sergio establishing himself, if he does then i see sergio winning

Martinez is not talking ****, they pretty much quoted him from 24/7 last week. Even if he thinks he is better than Jr., he is taking him damn serious. Jr. is the one looking like an iddiot when he speaks. The guy does not seem to think before he speaks. No wonder why Roach has been so quiet this time with his fighter's opponent.

I think ur wrong. Martinez hasn't shown he's lost a step. He's shown the diff in how he is motivated wen fighting lesser opps vs guys he feels isn't in the same class as him. look at the pav, and williams fight & even dzinzurich fight & you look at the barker macklin fight & see the diff. He was simply unmotivated as far as I can tell.

WOuld be awesome to see Hagler fight Chavez.

My take on the fight is,

However we see the first round play out is how the fight will go on. If Chavez can take Sergios power then Sergio lost, If Sergio can back Chavez up then Sergio got a good shot.
