He must be the grand-grand-son of some lost belgian mennonite then, the irish he mentions were too few and weren´t in that state, also red haired people isn´t that rare in Jalisco... there were much more french, belgians, spanish and austrian immigrants there.
Ps.- And something is missing in that video

That's true. I research redheads today. The vikings spread red hair every place they went. While Ireland has a high percentage of red heads, 10%, Scotland has an even higher 13% of the population with red hair. Red heads have been in Spain long before the Spanish came to Mexico.Comment

Duran is a proud Panamanian no doubt, but he's never denied his Mexican heritage. In fact, he's said that he appreciates the support he's gotten from Mexican fans and is proud to represent that side of his heritage.Last edited by Caxcan; 09-11-2012, 02:20 AM.Comment

The guy who posted the video wasnt confusing Mickey with Andre, he was trying to say Andre Ward was Irish because of the surname. Ward has a germanic and gaelic origin, so you have to track his family tree. His ancestors could have taken the name from slave owners, he could be English.Comment

The vikings did not spread red hair. The research is not certain. Some vikings did have red hair, but so did neanderthals who have died out. That's true. I research redheads today. Red hair is virtually everywhere, but concentrated in lands where the Picts inhabitied not the Celts.Comment

Michael Hogan, author of Irish Soldiers of Mexico lives in Jalisco. The Irish settled in cities, and not just northern states. They also came with Spain ( Hugo O'Connor Viscerally of Spain), not just as religious refugees in the Mexican American War.
The Dutch Mennonites that Alvaro Obregon 39th president of Mexico(An Irishmen whose father was born O'Brien) brought, have remained isolated from the general Mexican population.
He looks the Irish archetype. Pug nose, cheeks like Matt Hughes (the MMA fighter), and of course red hair.
Less than 0.5 percent of Mexicans would have Irish heritage, but in real terms that means one in two hundred kids. Which is a higher frequency than red hair in Mexico. I myself living in a Mexican neighborhood, in a high school of 3,000, was the only redhead.
The influx in red hair in Mexico is often cited to occur per the Irish immigration. Not the Dutch, German or French. Sure they have redheads, but not with pug noses, and the cheeks jaw of Matt Hughes.Comment

There was a large settlement of Frenchies in Jalsico, from the time France attempted to invade Mexico. If you take into account that, ontop of the Spanish inhertance. Than you begin to understand why, there is a wide spread mixture in Eastern European, and Indigenous people in the State of Jalisco along the northern states.
So yeah, I attribute his Red Hair, and White tone skin to his Spaniard/French more so than that being of Irish.
