its true that the fight was stopped way too early but it doesn't change the fact that charr was getting whooped and would continue to do so as long as the fight lasted. I feel for charr but I don't want to see a rematch. terrible stoppage but what can u do?

Reviews and punishments for things like this need to be brought in - that doctor should not be allowed to oversee a fight again. All that is needed is competitant officials in all areas - refs docs judges etc and all this sort of stuff would be wiped out.

obviously a vitali nuthugger - lennox won the last two rounds and won them big - as he said himself when he came back to his corner after the last round "I have him now" - The best thing that ever happened in Vitali's whole career was the doctor stepping in to save him - it prevented him been Koed a round or two later. Thus allowing nuthuggers to act up and claim it was a bad stoppage for ever more.

Was his eye actually cut? What are the specific rules on this?
The thing to me is, this is a world title fight, Charr, whilst he probably hadn't earnt the fight anyway, was still in the fight, he may not get his chance again.

what will happen in this rematch , is what would have happened in Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis 2 , where today Klitschko is the 38-year old lewis

          wait and see

Was Vitali winning every round? Of course he was. But to say that he was DESTROYING Charr is complete nonsense. This is boxing. Let the guys fight. So what if Charr would have probably lost? He was making it competative, which is more than most fighters have done recently. Its **** like this that is ruining boxing.
Dude was gushing blood & spreading it to Vitali as well... a basketball game nowadays would be called for a week just to wipe the floor. He was starting to walk into Vitali's punches & was starting to get hammered.. the blood was because Vitali had already softened his face earlier. He threw 284 punches to 1oo + for the challenger who was bleeding all over himself. He started rushing Vitali because he started to panic at his own sorry sight of his own blood as he knew himself the fight could be stopped..

The doctor won the fight is the most sorry azz comment i've ever heard... just admit you were getting your aZZZ KICKED.. WHY DON'T FIGHTERS have any dignity or honesty after the bout.. We've seen what Vitali does when he has his man hurt.. he's the most ruthless KO artist in heavyweight history in terms of inflicting a prolonged beatdown & we all know it was going down this path esp. when Vitali saw the blood... that fight was over & he should thank his lucky stars that it was & stop begging for a rematch like a pathetic tomatoe can that just got pasted & doesn't know why.

Btw.. when the doctor stopped Vitali's fight with Lewis Vitali deserved to be upset as he was pasting Lewis for the majority of the fight.. outlanded Lewis in every rd & inflicted heavy braincell damaging blows to the champion... nearly sixty more blows.. so let's not cry or try to incinuate double standards here. All Vitali & Charr HAVE IN COMMON IS bLOOD spewing OUT of the eye region & nOTHING else..

Vitali is an alltime great.. Charr is an altime martyr wannabee that would've gladly just walked into Vitali's punches all nite long just to say he could take it & then never fight again because of his damage. HAS BRIGGS even fought again despite saying he was going to? Do the math my friends & call it a day. Vitali's arm punches retires people & you know it!

Good analysis; he's right, let the fighters fight. This is boxing ffs, there's gonna be blood 'n guts.

Charr was getting battered no doubt but he was fighting back and landing some decent punches. The fight should have been allowed to go on and Charr should have been given the chance.

Very dissappointed in this stoppage; the fight was shaping up to be a good one, albeit one sided.

Im sure Vitali was disapointed at the stoppage too. Not just Charr. It prevented the champion form getting another KO and the way it was shaping up it looked like it wasnt far off. Charrs effort wasnt great but it was better than most challengers ( Chisora aside ) atleast he tried to rush Vitali and threw punches. In a heavyweight title fight he should have atleast been chance to see teh round out giveing teh corner a chance to work on it.

Vitali had much worse cuts round after round vs Lewis. It was only when Lewis started getting on top of him that they decided to rescue Klitschko. Charr wasnt given teh same chance

Hated the way this one and the DeMarco/Molina fight ended. Luckily, Ward/Dawson made up for it.
