Rahman at best is a b-level fighter with a good punch ya he can box a little ok jab and I have seen rahman fight, He almost lost to al cole when he was on the comback trail. The man is way down the list of boxing skills and has chin has problemsOriginally posted by DiegoFuegogive me a list of 10 and I'll be objective as I can in telling you which ones I thought had more skill than Rahman. Let's keep in mind, I'm not saying Rahman was among the 5 best heavies of the last 5 years or anything like that. I'm saying he had more skill. Byrd had more skill than Lewis, but was he better? HELL NO! Byrd has no power and no reach so he'd NEVER stand a chance against Lewis. You guys just get so touchy about nothing. Wladimir Klitschko is probably the 3rd most skilled heavyweight in the world, but I don't think he's one of the 6 or 7 best by any stretch of the imagination.Comment

I was basically with you till here, man. I think giving Rahman an A for skills, especially when James Toney is only an A+ in comparison. Rahman is more or less a basic one-two kinda guy. His hook and uppercuts gain him no notoriety because they're negligible parts of his gameplan. He has no inside fight plan except being physical. He is a physically gifted heavyweight without the skills to ever be incredibly good. He's good, never great.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoI'd love for you Rahman haters to come up with 5 active heavyweights more skilled than Rahman. this should be fun!
Five active heavyweights more skilled? You got it, bud.
Byrd.
Brock.
W. Klitschko.
Toney.
Brewster.
Byrd is a much better inside fighter. Brewster has better overall fighting skills, he can be effective at more than one range. Same goes for Toney and Brock. Klitschko is a very hard man to beat when he stays outside and shoots that jab, and he gets a tiny bit of extra credit for what can be a very effective uppercut on the inside. In terms of skills alone, including defense, in-fighting, long-range fighting, footwork, ring generalship, etc., Rahman is only average and he merits no more than a C+.Comment

Yeah, that's that poor bastard's bad luck. Fact is, I seriously believe there is NO ONE out there that could present such a dominating hold over the heavyweights... even Toney would just school him but not batter him like that. And a chance to even the score on his kid brother's bum chin would be nice.Originally posted by S0UTHPAWWell, uh, Williams did get a shot at that very same belt not too long ago......and, uh...... he did not do so well
I would rather see him again than Rahman though

Meehan vs. Danny Williams (**** me, I'm turning into JuyJuy) stopped in 32 seconds.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoRahman is definitely one of the better heavyweights of the last 5 years. He stopped Lennox Lewis, he outboxed David Tua twice and got robbed twice, he KO'ed Corrie Sanders, he destroyed Meehan.Comment
