Well, uh, Williams did get a shot at that very same belt not too long ago......and, uh...... he did not do so wellOriginally posted by AnorakThe thing is [warning: he's going to talk about Danny Williams again] I'd like to see how someone like Danny Williams could do at that level. I'm not saying he'd do well, or he'd even win a belt, but I'd be CURIOUS. But I'll never get to find out, because instead of giving all-comers (and in the current line-up, pretty much anyone's as good as another) a shot, it's Rahman again.
I would rather see him again than Rahman though

Rahman is definitely one of the better heavyweights of the last 5 years. He stopped Lennox Lewis, he outboxed David Tua twice and got robbed twice, he KO'ed Corrie Sanders, he destroyed Meehan. He's had some great performances no doubt against guys some of your heroes like Wladimir and Brewster would and did struggle against.
But then he loses to people like Ruiz, Maskaev, and Holyfield, which makes you wonder why he doesn't come in top form every time because if he did, DAMN, he would be a killer heavyweight for sure. He's too unpredictable, but out of the heavyweights right now he has the best combination of the things that make for a great champion.
PUNCH - A+
BOXING SKILLS - A
HEART - B+
CHIN - CComment

And when you think about it, his chin really isn't that bad. He was dropped or KO'ed by guys known for big punches (LEWIS, Maskaev, Sanders, TUA after the bell)Comment

such a ******. if his punch and skills were as good as you say they were, he wouldnt have lost to ruiz, or holyfield, or masakev, or even tua.
and you say like he beat sanders and meehan as if those are monumental or noteworthy accomplishments.
great champion, yeah sure. a guy with 5 losses to opposition ranging from great, to shot, to ridiculous. if he had never KOd lewis, we would not be talking about this bum.Comment

Do you think Brewster is better? Brewster barely got a win against a guy Rahman obliterated! The point is, FIGHTERS HAVE OFF NIGHTS. Rahman has A LOT OF THEM. Ruiz = offnight, Holyfield = bad break, Tua = bull**** late hit + bad stoppage, Maskaev = lucky punchComment

so are you admitting Vitali never won an important fight in his life? does it upset you that Rahman is better than Vitali, that Rahman was considered the heavyweight champ, THAT HE STOPPED LEWIS WHERE VITALI COULDN'T?Originally posted by TheEvilSaintpunch A+? skills A?
