to be honest OP most of those going at ortiz were flomos still bitter floyd had to suckerpunch ortiz to win and those going at cotto were mexicans with the rivalry etc - those were never about quitting, they were about sticking the knife in.

who's going to give Dawson shit? he's just not that relevant, which is one of the reasons he dropped in weight to fight Ward in first place, to get more notoriety and build his name.

When Lopez beat Ortiz, barely any credit was given to him and all the focus was on Ortiz. "Wow, Ortiz quit! Quitter!" When Ward beat Dawson, all the credit was was given to Ward and Dawson was just a side issue. Instead of "Wow, Dawson quit!", it was "Wow, Ward made Dawson quit! Beast! pfp#2!"

At least Ortiz had the broken jaw. Dawson just straight out punked out. And Lopez actually moved up in weight while Ward made Dawson move down.

Who cares. We're too busy discussing THE 140lb King, Lucas Matthysse. Move on.

Oh and to answer your question, Ortiz was in perfect conditions going into that fight while Chad was a fkin zombie who only threw 100 punches.

            lame
So disappointing. I can't even laugh, because I've always liked Dawson.

So basically you're complaining because NSB isn't full of ******s acting ******ed.

Someone quit and isn't being accused of being a ***** by a bunch of ****** kids online, what a tragedy eh?

It's obvious that Dawson wasn't at 100% since the beginning of the fight. Anyone who can't see that throwing 187 punches during the entire fight is a clear symptom of dehydration must be blind.

Still it doesn't give him a pass to quit. What he did was absolutely terrible and deserves to be bashed for it.

It's actually very funny how people are using Chad's words in the post fight interview to say he was "OK with the weight"

                Chad had 2 options:

Say he was weight drained and most people would say that he's a sore looser and he's just making up excuses.

Say he was OK with the weight and people would say that he took his loss like a man.

He made the right call, but it's still obvious that he wasn't OK with the weight.
