The weight had an effect it must , only fools are throwing it as an excuse , Chads not going to back up on his words now and sound like a sook , its back to 175 he said , the only way you can ever settle the weight innuendo in this fight is for Ward to fight him again at 175 , might even happen down the road if Chad can get back to winning big fights , and I will be surprised if Andre does a Manny and challenge Dawson for a rematch and then refuse the fight because Chad wants 175 .

Off course Ward looked better he won easily , you normally do look great when you win easy , did he win because of the weight , probably not and will probably do it again at 175 , but probably aint accurate enough for me .

Cotto couldn't hurt Margarito both times - with/without the plaster, nor Pacquaio. Plus, he wouldn't be able to use his "underrated" jab because he can't hit what he can't catch, NEXT!

This fight just proved that catch weights are good. Dawson looked like a zombie so why does Ward deserve to be a top p4p fighter. Sorry I don't see the supermiddleweight division as having a lot of talent Froch was getting schooled by Taylor until Taylor got caught. LH division is even worse since you had an old Bhop ,Tarver and Jones at the top. Ward has pretty much cleaned out the SMW division , which is why he should have gone up to 175 and tried for Dawson's title.Would have been a better fight and left no doubt to Ward's skills.

THIS JUST IN: 168 IS AN ACTUAL WEIGHT CLASS! Dawson wanted 170 (now, that's a catch weight) & Ward said no.

Klitchko's get no type of respect, who in that division can beat either one of em? whoever is put in front of either one of em is beat so how do they not earn a spot on the list?? Cotto is a future hall of famer and has a better resume than most boxers that are on most ppl's list....

on the flip, I remember Chad barking at B.Hop about him not being a gangsta and that a gangsta would've KEPT FIGHTING....when dudes say Chad fought like a drained fghter...its true...when dudes say Chad loses everytime he doesn't fight a oldman in his 40's who can move and put his shots together...its true!!!....all I'm saying is that dudes are just SAYING what their eyes told them to say....if you see the color blue, you don't need anyone to confirm that the color is really blue after you reach a certain age

I thought Chad LOOKED fine at the weigh-in...go back and check how I put "LOOKS" in all caps....I wasn't completely sold on him being the dude I'm used to seeing in the ring...after a few rounds, I knew he was dead and all he was trying to do was keep SOG from burying him..it was weird and sad to see...I like BOTH fighters, Dawson a lil' more than Ward though..still, Chad quit under the most adversity we've ever seen him against...not a good look imo....do I still like Chad?...hell yea...do I respect Ward way more?...hell SUPER yea!!

MOST of the dudes who said the fight was gonna be boring got together with the butthurt dudes from the S6 and started trying to discredit Ward...so when dudes state the OBVIOUS(Chad was way off his game) and mention the weight, WARD LAND SECURITY got soldiers ready to drop the "EXCUSE" bomb on innocent boxing fans...the NEW WARD ORDER is here....do not speak the things you see with your eyes...your OWN eyes...at the end of the day, props to SOG and as young talented American fighter, he has to get used to ppl coming at his neck...American fighters are held to a different standard than the rest...and dudes know I'm not that patriotic....just calling a spade a spade

The HW division is garbage, plain & simple. I can't (and neither should you) lend credence to their opponents with dubious records, not to mention recycled opponents......

Cotto has earned my respect and has a lil skill but his problem has always been that he relies on his power too much and when he is not effective then he gets discouraged and pressure can fold him. Sergio Martinez is on a different level from Cotto. Martinez knows how to adjust and Cotto has problems adjusting. On top of that Cotto gets hit flush by big shots a lot and he could not afford to have Martinez hit him flush on the chin.

It doesn't seem like he has or i guess you're just high on sergio..i agree with your view on cotto but i dont believe he will have to deal with any of that with sergio..i dont believe he is, maybe he'll convince me and make me a believer this weekend if he does punish Chavez Jr...i don't see cotto having alot of problems with sergio

i agree that the HW division is trash but how do they not get any credit or respect? if that's the case they shouldnt fight at all, who can they fight to earn any respect? and uhhh isn't there other boxers on the list with dubious and recycled opponents???
