This fight just proved that catch weights are good. Dawson looked like a zombie so why does Ward deserve to be a top p4p fighter. Sorry I don't see the supermiddleweight division as having a lot of talent Froch was getting schooled by Taylor until Taylor got caught. LH division is even worse since you had an old Bhop ,Tarver and Jones at the top. Ward has pretty much cleaned out the SMW division , which is why he should have gone up to 175 and tried for Dawson's title.Would have been a better fight and left no doubt to Ward's skills.

168 is not a catch weight but rather the limit of the super middle weight division. Doesn't matter what Taylor was doing prior because Froch put his ass out. There has never been a doubt in Ward's skills in my opinion because he has the tools and uses them. I would prefer the fight to be at 175 too but weight would not have played a part as much as Ward's talent, skill, focus and being a complete fighter. Chad can't beat him at either weight. Props to Dawson for calling Ward out and moving down like a true challenger.

Cotto has earned my respect and has a lil skill but his problem has always been that he relies on his power too much and when he is not effective then he gets discouraged and pressure can fold him. Sergio Martinez is on a different level from Cotto. Martinez knows how to adjust and Cotto has problems adjusting. On top of that Cotto gets hit flush by big shots a lot and he could not afford to have Martinez hit him flush on the chin.

In my opinion, Ward was simply fantastic.

He didn't rush in, he was patient and sussed out Dawson before taking any unessecary risks.

Dawson is no mug, Ward is going to go far.

Really chuffed with this. Andre Ward's been my favourite fighter since i first saw him dismantle kessler.

Hope he gets his props now coz there's always excuses when he wins.

Along with Mayweather, he's the most complete fighter out there.

OH trust me he will. I wasn't a full fan of him, I my self was pulling for Chad but wow that win was so impressive that I can't wait to see him fight again.

Aside from the super 6, Ward himself is giving the more needed popularity to that weight division.

Dawson finally ate his words...bernard ain't wanna fight man I came to fight turns out Saturday night chad ain't wanna fight a real champion would've gone down in flames he's a bum. Ward needs to move up to 175 and take his belts too wouldn't have mattered what weight it would've been in ward would have still put it on him.

Yeah yeah...boxing should be about fighting outside....lets make fights five rounds, make the gloves bigger.... God forbid there should be An occasional head butt as guys try to get position inside....and fighters should never tie a guy up....

What you call dirty is skills...the ability to fight at a range where one can get cut inside with butts. Jockeying for position causes butting.

Real skills sometimes do not look sexy but they win fights. If guys like dawson, especially with his talent learned how to do more then fight outside....maybe this fight would have been competitive.

It's not skills when it's blatant - I like Ward a lot, but the truth is the truth - he did some dirty ***** in there......

According to ME, it's my opinion..tbh i can careless about anyone below the top 3, sergio does not have a better resume nor better wins than my top 3, put his resume beside any of em and it'll look like garbage, i like sergio but he does not belong in the top 3 according to me..and i have cotto getn in sergio's business if they were to get in the ring..Chavez Jr is gonna get sergio out of there in 8..y sergio before MarQuez? educate me on this
