ward definitly impressed me tonight but it wasn't enough to knock mayweather off his spot. what ward did tonight in his late 20's floyd did in his early 20's. difference is floyd continued to beat world champions for the next decade after that. no vacant titles and no catch weights. floyd is 35 and there is still no one in his weight class that any expert belives can beat him. put it like this people are saying floyd has to fight martinez at 160 to sement his leagacy, no one thinks ward has to fight the cruiser weight champ to sement his. overall he earned my respect i have him tied for number 2 with martinez.

I don't count anyone in the equation if they only fight once a year.

So Floyd's out. Pac can't be in it after the Bradley fight and won't have a case if he fights Marquez again.

So Ward's number 1 for me. Yes he's been out of action but that was a verified injury. After last night he's number 1 for me.

You can't continue to allow fighters to reclaim the number 1 spot by having a one off fight while someone like Ward puts himself through the super 6 and fights Dawson on his return.

1. Mayweather
2. Ward
3. Martinez

Now I have Ward and Mayweather switched

Ward is a ****ing beast, but I think its pretty obvious 1 of 2 things happened

Dawson was drained as ****.
Dawson got an unsigned letter in the mail 5 weeks before the fight.

Ward could have moved up in weight at a catchweight then move down easily.Ward said he might consider fighting for a light-heavy weight title after the Froch fight but when Dawson asks for a catchweight Ward turns it down and says he has to come down to his weight.

You can't complain about the weight, because it was for Ward's belt. If a belt is on the line: you fight at the WEIGHT LIMIT OF THE BELT.
