the fighters who are so relaxed they look like they might as well be watching a movie are the toughest ones if anything. you saying bcuz chad is relaxed and comftorable in the ring he must be a "softie". how does that add up?

btw, I obviously don't know Ward or anything but I really dislike the dude for some reason. Anyone else have a general dislike for dude?

Ward will impose his will on him and it will be evident.
Dawson is cotton candy Ive been saying that shyt, He checked out of the fight as soon as Ward hit him hard enough to make him realize he was in a fight.

        Ward bent him over.

man i'm telling you. it makes me wonder . with the latest mods weve gotten and this. is it being ran by a bunch of 20 yrolds?
          Reeno where are you? mwahahahahah!
I won't bash the mods but all it does it validate that Dawson was a legit threat and nobody can take a hindsight point of view on it and recall how many felt before the fight. Which was that a lot of people thought Dawson would win and that weight wouldn't be an issue.

I still don't see it, maybe I over looked the weight being a concern. I'm not ruling it out. Just remember that Dawson weighed 185 lbs fight night. I mean this isn't like De La Hoya years ago when he wanted to move down to WW (weight he hadn't made in 8 years). Oscar couldn't even hit the WW limit. That is what it means when weight is an issue. Dawson was fighting as a LHW.

Either way, I like both guys and I knew the skills of Ward would win the fight. I just didn't expect Dawson to take a knee. He looked mentally beaten, not physically.

Everything about this fight was in favor of Ward. From the venue, judges, ring size and the weight.
The HBO crew even tried to say that CSAC hired an outside referee to make the officiating more credible, but the truth was that they wanted a referee that would favor Ward's fighting style.

The weight issue was not evident prior to the fight. It became evident when Dawson was unable to get off and was being rocked by someone smaller who doesn't necessarily have that type of power.

But Ward did win the fight. If it was 175, Dawson would just lose UD12.
Ward was just the better overall fighter; BHOP on steroids (no pun intended)!

I don't think they will. Chavez hasn't accomplished anything for them too. Where as Dawson has fought a lot of big names and had experience vs very good fighters.

Chavez hasn't and even his promoter Bob Arum has been open about protecting him from real threats.
