Calling this a blowout by Canelo is disrespectful, Lopez earned his shot. Literally Broke Ortiz down and forced him out of the equation with a broken jaw. Even something Mayweather/Maidana/Berto couldn't do. SO you think Jose doesn't deserve his shot?

Nice try trying brush off the truth.

Wait a minute, Williams was a cherry pick but he would have beaten Canelo? You can't have it both ways, either he was a cherry pick or he was a threat.

Canelo-Ortiz ready to get it on if Ortiz beats Lopez, Lopez stops Ortiz.

Lol seriously, what more can this guy do? He tried his best to get the best opponent possible. Like, he and his handlers really did try. When you sign to fight Paul Williams, you are really trying to fight anybody.
Most people here forgot about all that, don't you know boxing fans have a short memory?

The Lopez fight is still a disgrace but people need to stop acting like he was the first choice.

If ginger doesn't destroy Josesito then he is obviously overrated. That's no knock on Josesito who is obviously a jr welterweight.

Let me ask you something, if I were to say that if Floyd went up to super middle & fought Froch he'd get destroyed. Is that being disrespectful to Floyd??

^ Either a Canelo fan or just misinformed.

Kirkland claimed he was injured like right after the fight with Molina. He claimed he was injured before Schaefer approached him/his team.

The only fight was was credible that ginger was gonna make was the Punisher fight. But ya'll can make as much excuses as you like bout an injured Kirkland & Ortiz.

An injured Kirkland & Ortiz are not better opponents than K-9, Trout, Molina, Lara, Vanes, Rosado nor the countless other jr middleweights that were passed up to try & land the injured Kirkland, then the welterweight Ortiz, nice try though.

What are you talking about? I know about the shoulder surgery after Molina. Doesn't change anything, Kirkland agreed and then backed out wanting more money "If i'm going to fight injured I want more money".

                James Kirkland Pulls Out

One day after accepting a junior middleweight title fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, James Kirkland pulled out of the fight on Friday, according to Golden Boy Promotions chief executive Richard Schaefer and Kirkland's co-manager, Cameron Dunkin.

Somebody is scared of the El Dinero de Vaca.

And it rhymes with Ducknelo Quacklarez.

That was 4 days after they fought. And then I don't think he had even been cleared by a doctor yet to fight. I think he started light training but never cleared to actually fight.
