He's a champion with 40 fights and he's still trying? When is he going to stop trying, 50 fights, 60 fights? He should at least have faced a 154 pounder by now, but he's trying to work his way up to that?

H got an A for effort lol. Luckily for him, those opponents are no longer on the table, so he doesn't have to worry about fighting them. DLH says he's ready for everyone, but then puts him in the ring with Josesito.

I predict that he'll fight only one 140/147lber next year, which is a definite improvement.

And we shouldn't care about him fighting a junior welterweight because of it...

Every boxer should do that. "Gee, I tried to fight this guy in my division coming off a loss, but he was injured so I'm fighting a guy two divisions lower now.

As young as Canelo is, the dude is a beast. I hope after the Josesito fight, we see him up against a real contender his natural size.

It's not his fault that Williams got into an accident and Kirkland turned him down twice.

Well Ortiz was the back up plan, which would have been a decent fight, but Lopez wrecked those plans. I agree Oscar went from throwing Canelo to the wolves to feeding him a blown up jr WW, very frustrating for the fans.

It doesn't excuse what GBP is doing, just saying that they're not always trying to protect him.

I honestly want to know when Golden Boy is going to take the diapers off this kid?

he's supposed to be a "champion" but he only fights faded stars and smaller guys.

he choose Josesito Lopez a natural junior welterweight instead of the many talented junior middleweights out there.

I know people will say "nobody knows Lara,Trout and those other guys" and "boxing is a business" but you know what Miguel Cotto is fighting an unknown and talented Austin Trout. Canelo could have fought Austin Trout but instead went with a junior welterweight.

if Alvarez is the truth then why isn't he fighting legit contenders at 154? and before anybody brings up Williams, Ortiz and Kirkland

                let's look at some facts.

Williams was shot, what you did watch the Lara fight? don't even bring up the Ishida fight because a prime Williams would have buried Ishida. Williams was a shot guy, just like Canelo likes.

Kirkland was injuried and wouldn't have been ready until October. didn't Kirkland say something like 'I want to get paid if I'm fighting with one arm'

Ortiz is a welterweight who would have been moving up in weight and that goes along with Canelo fighting smaller guys.

I'm sorry but Canelo is just looking like a hype job. maybe it's not his fault and he's just letting GBP use him like an ATM machine.

You beat me to it. The dude is 22 years and look how big he is. Unless he's taking some sht like his long lost cousin Chavez Jr, I don't see him staying at 154 very long.

                      STFU damn Crybabies,

Josesito earned his shot. The winner was suppose to be Ortiz, but he got his jaw broken to pieces. Lopez deserves more respect.
