I'm a fan of Ward but that was really an incredibly boring fight, IMO.

Lack of action, lack of competitiveness, lack of clean punches, etc.

Ward dominated the fight but he barely landed any real damaging punches he just stayed on the inside just tapping him most of the time.

I just found it really boring against a completely over-matched opponent.

To each their own, I watched it with some casuals and they were excited to see a guy impose his strength and his will on his opponent.

For me, the only great thing about this fight is that you have 2 elite fighters facing each other while they are still in their prime.

Stylistically though, I fail to see how this can be a great fight. I envisage plenty of clinches, a few butts and a wide but boring UD win for Ward.

I'll still be staying up till 4am to watch it live though.

Why do some fans equate being good at all facets of boxing with being boring? I just don't get that. Then blame the boxer for being boring but never blame the other fighter for not being good enough to get the boxer to fight a different fight. Damn people actually blame the winner for winning and not the loser for losing
