You never know how guys styles will mesh and there certainly doesn't seem to be much love lost between the guys.

Dawson is much more rangy than Ward and that could force Ward to really go after Dawson which in turn would force Dawson to really fight back. Honestly if Dawson is in good condition Ward will need to make some stuff happen to win, which I do certainly think he is capable of.

I love this post...I wonder why there does seem to be a lil bad blood between these two...I think it has something to do with Dawson calling Ward out...But it's not disrespectful bad blood, but you feel it in the way they talk to/and about each other...

          Yeah, you are.

          -excessive clinching/clinchfest
          -snoozer
          -hitting on the hold
          -headbutts
          -overall sloppiness

          That's what will go down.

I'm excited for this fight, but I've also come to terms with that in all likelihood it is going to be a giant hugfest.

If it's an exciting fight, it would be because Chad forces it to be. He can do that, just look at his fights against Johnson, Adamek, and Tarver. He's in front of you throwing combos. If he dominates you, it's still an exciting domination, like he did to Adamek and Tarver. His Johnson rematch was a boring domination, and his Hopkins rematch was a close fight that I wouldn't call boring or exciting, more like impressive that he actually beat Hopkins clearly, which hadn't been done since 1993 by Roy Jones.

I keep saying, if this fight is boring, it will most likely be because of Andre Ward. But Ward is not exactly a boring fighter either. I thought his fights against Kessler, Froch, Bika and Abraham were all pretty exciting in their own way. But then he has those kind of dull fights against Miranda and Green. And it all it takes is one boring fight for fans to call you boring, i'm even guilty of this.

Didn't Dawson get boo'd in the first Johnson fight?

It won't have much action but it will be high level of skills.

I'm looking forward to it, personally.

During or after? I have the fight here in my computer and watch it from time to time and Dawson didn't get boo'ed during the fight. You must be talking about the decision, which is irrelevant to the fight being exciting.
