I'm sure it's also everyone's fault BUT Joe's that he's had the measly WBO strap and hasn't been able to unify agaisnt a list of available contenders in his own weight class over the last 6 years, right?

    Save your biased crap.
I've come to the conclusion that it's 100% to do with nationality.

Atleast Joe is a great fighter and idol to many in Britain, especially Wales.

I really don't think that he'll be appreciated until he's retired, he's achieved so much.

      LOL!

      What, in compairison to you?

What has he accomplished in the grand scheme of things in Boxing?

He wasted the majority of his career fighting parrenial Suppermiddlewights, missed counltess opportunities for meaningfull fights that according to his fans were everyone's fault but his own, and won the WBO "title".

He won't even come close to getting Hall of Fame consideration.

He's 40-0, and he's the longest-reigning world champion in the whole of boxing. He's held the WBO super-middleweight title for eight years now, and during that time he has beaten former WBC super-middleweight champion and Olympic medalist Robin Reid, former WBC super-middleweight champion and Olympic medalist Richie Woodhall, former IBF super-middleweight champion American Charles Brewer and former WBA super-middleweight champion American Byron Mitchell. He hasn't lost since 1990, he won three ABA titles at three different weights. He's accomplished a lot so far, and wins next year against Tarver and Lacy before retiring would throw him into the HOF and make him a true legend.

Joe has been by far the best in his division since Roy Jones Jr. WBA and IBF champion Sven Ottke barely sc****d past Byron Mitchell in a boring, very close fight. Calzaghe then wiped out Mitchell in much more impressive fashion, Mitchell said "I've never been hit so hard so often", and said that he'd be putting his money on Calzaghe if he met Ottke. WBC champion Marcus Beyer lost five times to Mario Veit (who Joe wiped out in one round, and beat in six in his backyard), and Beyer got a gift decision against Richie Woodhall (who Joe wiped out in much more impressive fashion). Woodhall said that Beyer doesn't deserve to share the same ring as Joe. So what more can Joe do?? Roy Jones Jr was too scared to fight him, Bernard Hopkins was too scared to fight him. Calzaghe has beaten every guy who has been put in front of him, every last one of them who has had the guts to share a ring with him. He's actually beaten every man he's ever fought, amateur or pro. Give him his dues.

I think you accomplished more than Joe with the effort you just put into typing all of that contrived sugar coating.

          Come off it.

He's never faced or beaten a world class fighter in their prime, has the least meaningfull of the 4 major titles in the WBO, never made an attempt to unify despite there being several credible opponents in his own division, and has failed to be involved in several marquee match ups available that according to clowns like you, is everyone's fault but Joe's.

Please. That 40-0 record it Ottke-sih to say the least.

He's a sheltered unproven fighter who wasted what potentially could have been the best years of his career fighting meidocre and poor opposition.

Again, he will get as much consideration for the boxing hall of fame as you and me.

Delaney, Eubank, Reid, Starie, Sheika, Woodhall, Veit, Brewer, Mitchell, Veit, (Lacy?), (Tarver?). His opposition is not bad at all.

Consider that Eubank stopped Benn and Watson, and beat unbeaten Rocchigiani in his hometown. Consider that Starie knocked out Jirov in one round at the European champs. Consider that Woodhall gave Jones Jr a close fight at the Olympics. Consider that Veit beat Beyer five times. Consider that Mitchell beat Lacy and Liles. Etc.

Who do you think your kidding?

Eubank was the only worth while name on that list, and he was washed up and weight drained.

The rest are not even CLOSE to being above average compeititon.

Those are the highlights of his resume and you're telling me:

your delusional to think that an american fighter could ever beat a european fighter on a level playing field.
hes either past, on steroids, injured, didnt train properly, was robbed, or made a lucky punch.

Ashira is not very good, but he was good enough to stop Lacy in the amateurs.
