Comments Thread For: Team Fury Ponder Other Options as Chagaev Talks Stall

Tyson Fury (19-0, 14KOs) will soon consider other options as a step up another rung on the heavyweight ladder against former WBA world champion Ruslan Chagaev (30-2-1, 18KOs) seems destined to fail to make it past the negotiations phase.

The former Irish champion, along with trainer and uncle Peter Fury, had focused all their efforts on securing the Uzbek fighter for a November date in Las Vegas or Dublin, but have been left frustrated at a lack of enthusiasm from Chagaev [Click Here To Read More]

He should fight a tall opponent, perhaps Michael Grant or Alexander Dimitrenko.

Fighting small HWs won't help prepare him for the Klitschkos, Wilder and Price.

I want to see him and Wilder next year, no buildup, these two need to get it on. Tor Hamer would be a good warm-up fight before then.

I liked this fight. Wish it would come off. I still can't get over the "White Tyson" handle. That is ridiculious.

those were 2 guys i thought of too but i don't think dimitrenko will take that fight. michael grant would be an excellent choice too. i also was looking at liahkovich or fres oquendo as names he should consider.

He'll end up fighting someone crap. An out-of-shape, unmotivated Chisora has been his stiffest test to date by miles.
