I caught of couple of his early fights on a few undercards out here...back then I didn't think much of him because of the comp he was in with....today, same thing but with a lil' more focus on him...I did pick Proksa to beat him, like I said, Proksa was my dude, STILL is...but he gotta step his game up alot of notches before he's threat to the throne...maybe 154 is good for my man Proksa

3xG = ?....time will solve that equation for us
His full name is: Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin, hence the triple G.

I hate to seem like I'm overreacting to his win over Proska, who I admittedly have never seen, but I was really impressed by Golovkin. His punch placement was exceptional, he showed great poise and confidence and even though he did get caught with some hard shots, his defense I thought was solid and he took the punches like they were nothing. I think he has all the potential to be a P4P fighter in the coming years, can't wait to see his next fight. Call me a GGG fan. BTW I'm not one who thinks he would beat Martinez or Mayweather or Ward, he has a long way to go before that's the case.

Golovkin could probably smash the **** out of Chavez Jr. Martinez is a much different kind of challenge.

That is indeed high praise, but...there will always be a man of your equal who hits just as hard, and boxes just as good as you. We will soon find out how good GG really is.

Anybody who counts the Hope loss as a legitimate loss has obviously never seen the fight and is a frequent visitor of Boxrec

In Slavic culture and that part of the world your middle name is a patronymic. You take your Father's name and add the ovych suffix which means "Son of". Volodymyr Volodymyrovych, Vitali Volodymyrovych, Vasyl Anatoliyovych.

Interesting... Forgive me, I wasn't trying to hate on another culture. Just thought it sounded kind of funny. No harm or insult intended!
