It's ludicrous.

Listen, Golovkin is a solid, strong and heavy handed fighter. But, he has not proved himself AT ALL. Proksa has always been an enigma, given the fact he struggled so badly with a journeyman in Hope. Golovkin just might be the next "super fighter" but we DON'T know and we can't go around saying he IS when he hasn't even faced, let alone beaten a top 5 middleweight yet!

This kind of thing happened with Lacy years ago, it's happened with guys like Sillakh etc. Fans see a big puncher knocking journeyman and B level fighters and they go ape **** hoisting them up to be the next no. 1 P4P fighter, and then when they actually face a legitimate top level fighter, they get terribly exposed for being one trick ponies. I'm not saying that will happen with GGG, but we don't know, and we won't know until he faces a top 5 middleweight.

A good fight for him right now to me would be a fight with Sturm. IF he could thoroughly beat Sturm, I would be more sold on him as a top fighter. But, until he fights a fighter like that, I'm holding my breath and you all should as well, just trying to give some sound advice fellas, peace.
That was funny how you used all capital letters to emphasize IF he could beat Sturm you're aware Sturm had avoided Golovkin his mandatory shot for the better part of 2 years and what from Sturms showing against Geale where he looked like a down side of his career type fighter makes you think he'd last even the distance against Golovkin he got stunned by Geale who isn't a puncher
That wouldn't tell anyone anything new about GGG and why would Sturmy fight him after a loss when he wouldn't when he was suppose to

Golovkin came out with the W, but Proksa should be able to bounce back. I think he can be a world-beater, or at least be on the edge.
Maybe domestic level but nothing more and a drop to WW would help

The real scary thing that i'm not sure people caught up on was the fact that his twin was possibly better than him, but what does his twin see in him to step down and focus on GGG's career ? Hmmmmm......

I agree. He also reminded me of Kostia Tsiu - same methodical, economical heavy handed aproach. But he also has a better chin than Tsiu - more like Chaves Sr. did.

        Thanks

Macklin is not any higher level than all these guys, he's struggled badly with Hope level opponents several times. He's not the only guy to get robbed by Sturm, who's always liable to be outworked. He has gotten better though, and probably motivation is a factor, but you could say the same for Proksa Hope.

Anyway, this Proksa is a standup guy, tough as hell. He can hang with the second tier middles and maybe pick up a cheap belt (though doesn't have the promotional backing), but he's really small at middle and should really try his luck at 154. There's plenty of action there, though not in England where he's campaigning, where it's all at 160. He should really get with Adamek's crew, in NJ or Chicago, have Duva put him on their NBC cards. Put him in with Rosado next at 154!

Golovkin is a beast. This is why half the names in europe are running scared. Only sergio has a chance at middle. Golovkin can box, don't get fooled into thinking he is all brawl.

Proska was on his game last night. He would have beat more than half the top 10 fighters with his skillset. Just no match for GGG

Welcome to the bandwagon. I've been driving this thing with a few others for years now. It's nice to see all the new faces.......

So many ppl are excited about him because they've seen ggg fighting before and are aware about his amateur background when he beat Dirrell, Lee, Bute (KO), Despaigne and Daniel Geale. This proves that GGG isn't just a puncher like you mentioned but also a more than a very solid boxer.

At least Golovkin has the tools to beat everyone in the middlewight division.

I caught of couple of his early fights on a few undercards out here...back then I didn't think much of him because of the comp he was in with....today, same thing but with a lil' more focus on him...I did pick Proksa to beat him, like I said, Proksa was my dude, STILL is...but he gotta step his game up alot of notches before he's threat to the throne...maybe 154 is good for my man Proksa

3xG = ?....time will solve that equation for us
Apparantly his middle name begins with 'G' aswell...
