not true we do know they were both in training camps for fights

both should have been in peak shape

Golovkin was training for Kassim Ouma on June 17

Alvarez was training for Ryan Rhodes on June 18

i'm putting you on the spot, big dog

golovkin vs the martinez / chavez winner?

who do you think the winner will be of the fight on the 15th and how will he do against golovkin

i'm not ready to say i'm certain about it, but golovkin appeared to me to be the best MW on the planet when i watched the fight last night and this morning.

Proska is the same guy who is 1-1 against Kerry Hope.

        Not that impressive.

I'm struggling to understand what Golovkin has done to be considered the best MW on the planet.

He's done nothing to suggest he is even close to Sergio Martinez.

going from fighting a guy with 1 ko to a guy with 20 ko's in 23 fights was a bit of a reality check for proksa.

if you watched the geale and sturm fight you can see the huge gap in class between golovkin and the rest of the pack.[/QUOTE]

No you dont! Geale is a Great Combination puncher who uses angle great, Sturm is ALOT like Golovkin but GGG is alot fresher

Last night showed you there is A TRUE puncher in the division, thats all.

                adamdoyle,
I respect your opinion on Chaves senior but I just see it very differently. To me Chaves senior was not a straight forward stalker. I would better describe him as... anavoidable, constant pressure, hurtful fighter. Till his time was over - he was in a class of his own. True legend to me.

I understand how other people may disagree - we're one but each have own point of view.

                Thanks
                Ted

I lean pretty heavy towards Martinez but we'll see how he handles a small cruiser in the ring. He's shown a habit of coming on in the second half, but 37 year old legs can get old quick if a big man starts to roll.

I'd pick Golovkin over anyone in the division. His wins are still coming together resume wise, but he's does almost everything but slip shots near perfect and he knows how to hurt people. Resume matters, but sometimes a guy is just it in the ring and you know it early. Golovkin looks the part.

I enjoyed watching Geale and Golovkin from yesterday. I am looking very forward to seeing them both again, whether it's against each other or other MW elite.

Canelo clearly looks fat and out of shape like the other poster suggested lulz

What had Martinez done going into the Cintron or Williams fights? That didn't stop myself and many others from recognizing his talent and thinking he would win.
