I don't blame Golden Boy for not folding because their plans were already in motion and then Bob Arum and Top Rank tried to goon them. It's Bob Arum killing the sport because all of the other promoters are working together except Arum. I'm surprised the Chavez Jr fight got done. Guess it would have been a disgrace for Jr to get stripped of his title for not fighting Martinez. Boxing is as or if not more political than the music industry.

Really? I remember Golden Boy locking that date down for Canelo long before Chavez Jr even accepted the Martinez fight. Canelo was looking for opponents and having them cancel for September 15th before Chavez Jr/Martinez was finalized.
