Having 2 months in between tells me that he would be fighting another over-matched opponent cuz he wouldn't have to have a full training camp to beat them. I think that fans and critics can agree that he definitely doesn't need another tune-up or gimme. Assuming his next fight will be PPV, 2 months would not allow GB to sell/advertise it properly.

Honestly, I highly doubt Floyd is going to fight this year. Who is he going to fight??? Bradley is about the only real possibility, if Pacquiao fights Marquez. And no way are Mayweather and Pacquiao going H2H on the same date.

Floyd will return sometime between February-May 2013.

IDK the relationship between the IBF and WBC, but if they don't allow them to unify, then K9 will have to fight the winner of Rosado/Whittaker. I think Rosado is gonna beat Whittaker and snatch the belt from that dog with dentures.

No they didn't, GB had it first when Canelo Pwlll was announced. After the tragedy, GB said the show will continue with new opponent

I could see Shaeffers stand on not worrying about other promoters. Especially how TR was saying Manny is fighting in Nov and now Dec. It does suck that us fans have to choose between 2 different events. On the flip side, common sense says GB n TR should just work together on nights like this to generate more money. A good example is Sept 15. Martinez n Canelo are both my favorite fighters and I'm gonna be pissed if both main events go on at the same time. Its factual that the GB card is the better undercard and Chavez-Martinez is the more attractive main event. From the business perspective, if both promoters would swallow their pride, you would think one of them would just go on a Friday night. Both cards are in Vegas. They could cross promote and probably sell out both venues, generating more revenue. If they cant decide who goes on Friday then flip a coin for the damn thing. The GB card wouldve been great for the Friday night and the TP Rank card on the Sat night. Its vegas, n the weekend would have been more attractive generating much more money. The rumor is that the GB card is comping alot of tix... if they were on a Friday I guarantee they wouldve sold out because you wouldve had all the TR card fans checking out the show as well. But, I guess this is just wishful thinking.
