I can understand why people didn't like the stoppage, but it was understandable. When a guy with a losing record gets dropped for the third time by someone much better than him it's pointless to let things continue.

I'm not sure if it was the illness and time on the sidelines a few years back, or maybe it was something else, but Chagaev seems incapable of performing like he used to.

The years, the weight, and he had a lot of injuries (Achilles tendon). He lost first his body movements, now he throw less and less combinations from both hands. No way he could reach again the top level i think.
