Lara? Maybe. Vanes? No fkin way. Let's be real here, if Vanes wins and he's the mandatory do you really think the WBC is gonna make Canelo fight him? Do you think they will order a purse bid? There's no way they protected him this long just to fight a Top Rank fighter in the end.

Vanes has been a mandatory (or close to it) for a year, and I guarantee that if he wins, he'll be calling Canelo out in the post-fight interview/conference. I know that it goes against all logic, but Canelo fighting Mayweather at this stage of his career defies all reasoning.

Lol and what's him calling Canelo out gonna change? Nothing. He'll just simply be ignored as usual. As far as Canelo fighting Floyd, well we know it's coming. Pretty lame but that's what happens when you're on celebrity status for accomplishing absolutely nothing.

He was getting ignored because he had the nerve to talk major ***** when he wasn't really fighting anyone. If he beats Lara, the door to Canelo will be that much harder to close. He has three legit choices after Josesito: winner of Cotto/Trout, winner of Lara/Vanes or K9. How long can Canelo possibly avoid one of the current contenders?

And I bet you he will skip all of those, except maybe K9. He might be next in December and then Floyd. You think the WBC and GBP can't work their magic to avoid a Canelo-Vanes showdown?

Hopefully Alvarez fights Bundrage in December, than the Trout-Cotto winner in May.

People who think the fight will be boring are nuts.

I'm sorry but Cotto has literally never been in a boring fight. Cotto had a solid action fight with Yuri freaking Foreman.

If Trout holds a bunch Cotto will start roughing him up with borderline dirty moves and it'll get chippy.

I bet it will be a decent action fight at worst.

I know, i'm expecting everything to go according as planned. All I'm saying is that whoever wins will be barking Canelo's name and rightfully so. When Canelo loses to Floyd, he'll be back at stage one with no title and a throwaway resume.
