I don't think Sturm necessarily slipping. I think he just happened to have faced much better competition recently than what he was expecting and was used to so he struggled because of that, not because he's declining. In his last two fights, his lazer jab was still there and he was just as active as I've ever seen him.

I really hope Sturm vs Martinez does happen eventually. I really enjoyed the Martinez vs Dzinziruk fight, and I expect a Sturm fight to be just like that, but it would be more interesting because Sturm has better pop as a full fledged middleweight.

Golovkin is fighting Proksa and say he wins that you'll clearly only discredit Sturm should be beat Golovkin by saying Golovkin himself hadn't fought anybody and Proksa was a bum.

Whilst Golovkin is probably more of a threat, Geale is a lot more proven in the pro ranks than Golovkin is right now.

I think Golovkin handily beats Proksa, should stop him within 6 but I am not sold on that guy as of yet. Will see how he (& Sturm) look tomorrow night but of right now I'd pick Sturm to outbox Golovkin to a comfortable U.D

if sturm vs AA had happended at MW then sturm i think would have won. sturm is a good sized MW with a decent chin and more importantly he has the boxing skills to beat AA.

Sturm would have boxed circles around AA by using his footwork and handspeed. He may have got caught now and again but I think AA often left something in the gym by making 160. against alot of weaker guys this wasn't an issue but against better fighters it would have meant a loss.

as for sturm hes arguably wasted his best years fighting medicore opposition. i can understand it after the shafting he got from the judges when he fought DLH but i still think he should have made some better fights than he did. also not giving macklin a rematch was a b*tch move.

lol sturm says he is 90% sure he will vacate the wba super title if he wins the geale fight which means he wont have to fight golovkin. people have been claiming he would do this for a while now.
