amen...taylor has beat no one so he or anyone can say he can hang with the big boys or even beat one at that...i say taylor will get put on his ass before he even gets to the big money fights..he overrated and even at that its way to early for him to be facing guys like sturm, tito or hopkins...i think even vargas might beat him when he comes back.

cotto and taylor are 2 of the most praised fighters when they both have a lot to prove still

a better opponent for taylor I think would be tito. Talyor would be the faster taller and better bover in the ring and I you watch the difference from tito going in against a guy who can box versus a guy who can't... he has great weapons no doubt but at the end of that long powerful jab I believe that he would have trouble gettin his punches off... although if you are taylor that is a big risk and with him being so young maybe too much of a risk. But a great fight nonetheless

        Tito would blister taylors ass!!!

Tito is not a journeymen that you take to test your guy, Tito is the fight you take when you think your fighters ready. He needs to fight more people in the top 10 before dreaming of Tito or B-hop

I think both Taylor and Trinidad can beat Hopkins at this stage of his career. He has slowed down a bit and his reflexes aren't what it used to be. And he's too careful to let his hands go. I don't know...Hopkins was ****ing awesome against Trinidad though...but still, I think Tito can avenge his loss this time around

I dont think JT has been tested at the level he needs to be at for Hopkins yet.He has not been in a stuggle ,or battle to where his chin or his heart has been tested yet.Thats why his next fight should include a oppenent that can do that provide that kind of test.

Other then that, go Arkansas go ,fighters from here are few and far between

I would really be surprised to see this one happen. B-Hop will fight eastman and Sturm or Tito - the Taylor fight is aleast a year away- both fighters will go throgh alot before they fight. I think what happens in those interm matches will say alot. Right now - the way B_Hop looked against DLH sure he would give Taylor more than he could likely handle. The problem with many of the top middleweights (Hop, Tito, Taylor) is they have been fighting welterweights lately - time they started fighting each other. There is an oppertumity in the middleweight division for some real excitement - an excitment that has been missing since Jones and Toney moved up. Who cares how many defences B-Hop has made against Allen and Ecoles - i don't - don't get me wrong I really do like B-Hop - I just think he has done a little selective defences (like Roy). Now I think there is real potencial now for some good fights at middle weight though.

So half the people here are bashing JT for taking crappy fights against the Joppy and Marquez's of the world and half of you are saying that JT is not ready for Hopkins.

Newsflash- There are not that many guys that are rated higher than Joppy for J.T to fight before he takes on Hopkins.

And at this rate, 5 fights is about 1 year and a half, then all the haters will say that J.T is just waiting for Hopkins to get old and retire.

You must be the only person that thinks J.T is being moved to quickly????????

joppy is a joke...he got crushed by tito and just like
vargas hasnt been the same since.

and howard eastman is gonna discover the huge class difference
between hopkins and joppy. taylor too if he fights b-hop

so whos your pick as the second best middleweight in the world

just dont forget how quickly a star can fall..
hopkins may just slow up in his next few fights and come unstuck.

doubt it will be against eastman though.

I agree that Hopkins will beat Taylor because of his experience.

i remember when Hop was a co-host on Friday Night Fights and was asked his opinion of Taylor. He revealed the flaw that Taylor drops his hand when throwing jabs, leaving him open for counters. That's just the one thing that he mentioned. There's got to be many more cracks that Hopkins has noticed in Taylor's style that he hasn't mentioned. He'll use every one of them in the ring. I mean, Hopkins is a smart brotha and he's not going to reveal his best secrets on national television. Also, Hop and Bouie "Like drops of rain" Fisher will devise the perfect fight plan that will give Taylor his first loss.
