Comments Thread For: Alexander vs. Bailey Training Camp Notes and Quotes

NEW YORK –- Randall Bailey defends his International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight title against former World Champion Devon Alexander on Saturday, Sept. 8, in the main event on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING live on SHOWTIME® (9 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast) from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The fight is still over a week away, but if these confident boxers had their way, they’d fight tonight.

“Oh, yeah, I’m definitely ready to rock ‘n roll,” said Alexander from his camp in Fort Charles, Mo. “Let’s do it now. I’m really anxious to get in there and prove to a lot of people that I am one of the best.”

Added Bailey from his training camp in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.: “I’ve never felt better and I’m ready to fight this guy right now. When I hit him right, it’s going to be goodnight.” [Click Here To Read More]

I cannot wait for this fight. I want to see how Alexander handles the power that Jones could not. I have a feeling Devon will be a better welterweight than he was a jr welter.

Same here, I think Devon makes a lot of noise at 147

I think Devon is levels above Mike Jones, but I still am looking forward to seeing Alexander face a confident and motivated veteran in Bailey.

            You have high expectations.

The only excitement this fight will have is if Bailey lands a big right hand otherwise it will be boring as hell.

Devon throws 75-80 punches a round,Bailey throws bombs. No way this fight is boring, you negative clowns should get a life.

Yeah just like Jones throws 75-80 punches a round and Bailey throws bombs, 10 rounds of absolute rubbish until Bailey landed a significant right hand.

Its more like 45-50 punches & its doubtful he will open up as much against Bailey who will throw 1 punch per round if you're lucky.

I'm not being a negative clown, I'm a realist & I will repeat - You have high expectations.

Devon and M.Jones are two totally different fighter's. Why pre judge this fight based off that fight? But i know the answer, you don't know what you are looking at. Maybe you should stick to that MMA ****.
