It's different, Rigo is a legendaRy amateur and now a world champion. Gonzalez needs to build his career. He's only fought D level fighters, Segura is levels beyond Gonzalez can't really compare.Comment

I cant agree with that. He is fighting a bunch of bums and have never been tested. You dont go to the top without making your way. Outside from PR, Bomba is not known. Segura have face a lot of proven opponents and he dont need Bomba. Bomba needs him, but before he can get there he needs to fight better competition.Comment

I agree that Rigo has a legendary amateur background, but it still really isn't that different considering Gonzales also has an excellent amateur background and represented Puerto Rico in several international amateur tournaments.Comment

Not quite true. A) Rigo a multiple Gold Medalist has had FAR more exposure on ESPN and other networks a number of times and far more exposure in general and B) has been seen by many as the greatest amateur fighter ever so with few fights, he jumped greater hurdles sooner. Gonzales needs to do it the old fashioned way.Last edited by richardt; 08-30-2012, 03:07 PM.Comment

Gonzales has not had a number of fights on ESPN and other networks like Rigo has and there can be no comparing at all their amatuer status, especially the gold medals. That eclipses anything more amatuer fighters ever do. Everyone knew Rigo out of the starting gate, hence, the reason he has had a number of ESPN fights and others. Gonzales, like many somewhat decorated amateurs will have to do it the longer way.....he needs to build a name.Comment

b*tch knows he'll get his ass handed to him.
Gonzalez would indeed KHTFO. I dont blame Segura he would get KTFO by a no name. Funny thing is, watch him fight some cab driver as a tune up!! lolComment
