What does a win over Floyd do for Manny?

Lets face it, Floyd isn't prime. His legs are gone and he takes more shots than a Gringo on Cinco de Mayo. Floyd was suppose to "Gatti" Cotto and we all know how that turned out. Some will defend Floyd and say he chose to fight "Toe to Toe" and get hammered to the face by the Puerto Rican.

Floyd is known for his defensive wizardry. The guy just doesn't like getting hit but Cotto proved this otherwise. Mayweather is still decent for being 35 years old. I guess my question is, Would Pacquiao benefit from a Mayweather win?

It would be up there with the best wins of his career.

      I don't usually feed trolls.

He ate some jabs, he never ate any hard power shots. Cotto throwing 7 punch flurries and hitting shoulders and gloves, doesn't count as landing shots. Manny won't beat Floyd. He may not be prime anymore, but neither is Manny. And I will choose a past prime Floyd over a past prime Manny any day.

Biggest win Of his career. Cements his Legacy. His doubters will say Floyd was older, past prime as expected, but it works both ways.

Considering both fighters' last couple years, Floyd beating Pac now is still a big stamp on Floyds resume, but not as monumental as Pac beating Floyd now.

Going by Boxing Scene most people think Floyd is the best pfp. in the world and easily beats Pacquiao. I don't know if B.S. truely represents the way most boxing fans feel or not. If B.S. is typical of how most boxing fans feel then a win over Floyd would shock the boxing world and gain him recognition as the best in the world by almost everyone.

nothing now, pacquaio is way past his prime, people say floyd is past it but i disagree, the only reason the mayweather/cotto fight was like that was cuz mayweather brawled with cotto at times,he could of easily have fought on the backfoot and outboxed cotto, pacquaio no longer has the killer instinct,if floyd had beaten pacquiao in 2010 he would have been the GOAT

at this point, Pac's too far gone to beat Floyd
the fight is never gonna happen anyway, people need to just move on
and even if it did, the fight lost its relevance a long time ago
a win doesn't do much for either of them, it's just about money

My 2 cents...nice on paper, but not the same had it been a couple years earlier. Yes Floyd is slowing down, and i said he looked sluggish fighting Ortiz, and Cotto out him through hell. Cotto is NOT that fast and was able to do some damage and make impressions. I actually pick Manny to win at this point in their careers. Now people say, "well Manny looked bad against JMM and Mosley, hes done", well ration and logic says that JMM and Pac are just made for each other (Mosley Forrest Mayorga triangle anyone?), and you cant fight the unwilling. Shane once knocked down, had ZERO intentions of trying to do anything but run and survive. Not a sure thing Manny beats Floyd, and i reserve the right to change my mind, but thats how i see it now.

as of right now a fight doesnt do much for either pacquioas last 2 fights ****** (marquez3/bradley) and people would just say manny was past it the fight shoulda been made after pacmans win over hatton

vice vera can be said if manny won people will just say floys was on his way out already
