Martinez and Pacquiao will just remain fantasy fights for Floyd. Waste of time talking about them. Seems like he's not even fighting this year. This is the same guy who promised to fight more fights before retiring just months ago.

Floyd has a penchant for lying when he promotes his fights. Don't know why they still take the guy seriously.

"Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs) is looking to fight five more times before retiring from the sport. Mayweather, 35-years-old, returns on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He faces WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30KOs). Mayweather wants to have at least two fights per year, which puts him on the path to retirement at age 37. On June 1, Mayweather will report to the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas to spend 87 days in jail for a domestic abuse charge. He wants to take another fight in the fall.

"Safe to say, probably - this one [with Cotto], plus five more. And of course, I’m probably not looking to fight six strong champions, "Mayweather told David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press. "I’m a lot older now, you know what I’m saying?"

The thing is Floyd commonly says you called me out so im going to fight you. But Sergio is calling Floyd out, so what is Floyds excuse for not fighting Sergio? Does he pick the weakest who calls him out?

Its about time Floyd fought the not only the possibly the strongest available but a highly rated guy. Floyd dont usually take the really dangerous challenges, hes got to start doing it now though.

Not gonna happen. I guarantee that Floyd will fight ginger at 154. But he'll never fight Martinez. As a matter of fact, when asked about Martinez at 154 he said catchweight, (clearly). The he even tried to pass him off to Andre Dirrel, lol. Floyd won't fight Martinez, especially if he beats Chavez. Luckily I'm not sure he will.

He will fight the fighter who would bring in the most revenue and that's Canelo.. If gets past his upcoming fight

There is only one real reason why floyd wont fight martinez, he is scared that martinez will win.
Sergio posses all kinds of problems for floyd plus he hits twice as hard as mosley, floyd boxes for money and stays away from fighters that posses a real threat to him because he value health over glory.

Pretty simple, mayweather is a money whoring scared littel ***** that happens to have great boxing skills and if it wasn't for his skills he would proberly be a ballet dancer.
The opposite of froch that are not naturally gifted but have the balls to fight the best and in the process got better

There are only two fighters I think could take Mayweather, and agree or disagree with me thats Pac or Martinez.

Hasen't he been trying that for the last few years? I doubt Floyd will fight him, way too much of a risk. I think Floyd should fight him at the 154 limit like he did with cotto, it's a reasonable weight for Floyd and I'm sure Martinez can make it.
