Theres a reason Cotto wont aknowledge Martinez and its the reason reason why Floyd and Pac wont. Too risky and easier money can be made.

After seeing Setgio destroy Chavez Roach would never allow his declining welterweight andywhere near him and Floyd will price himself out.
Cotto will make out like he feels he is above Sergio but the p4p indicate a different story.

If it happend I could see Sergio using the ring at first, outboxing Cotto making him look slow and marking him up similar to Chavez but I donbt think Cotto has the size to cope like the Mexican did and somewhere in the late rounds he'd be taken out. It would be another 1 sided beating over a top fighter and then Sergio will have really arrived.

He would do it the same way Pacquiao did, f*** Cotto up something bad.

If the fight was at 154, all bets are off. Don't think Sergio can make that weight healthy myself.

I personally don't see the need for an immediate rematch, it won't look any different than the first eleven rounds. If Chavez Jr. beats Golovkin or something along those lines, maybe. But not right now. Martinez has earned a good rest from his injuries and his outstanding victory.
No possible way on this earth arum will let chavez fight golovkin, chavez's next few opponents will be hand picked as usual and rematch will likely not happen. Martinez is already talking about cotto which could possibly take place some time next summer depending on how well sergio can recover.

Where are those 'his hand wasn't really broken' guys?

He beat the snot out of Chavez for 4 rounds with good hands, then continued beating him to a pulp for the remainder of the fight (minus the final 90 seconds) with one hand.

Cotto is a man's man. While 4 corners went above & beyond anything necessary to condemn a Floyd/Martinez match, he slithers out of his panic hole to speak of Cotto getting destroyed.

Cotto gets destroyed by Martinez, we all know this. Just like Floyd would. Difference is, is that the lesser fighter in Cotto is braver than the greater fighter Floyd. It says a lot when Floyd would duck Martinez when Cotto won't,smh.
